John Byrne has been a career geek for fifteen years and counting. He has held various technology-related roles including, systems engineer, architect, and consultant. After experiencing the high of his first chef-client run nearly five years ago, he made it his life’s work to automate all the things.

John currently serves as a Customer Architect on the Success Engineering Team at Chef. In his role, John works with Chef’s enterprise customers to help facilitate the adoption of automation and DevOps practices within their organizations.

Prior to Chef, John was a Systems Engineering Lead at Scholastic in New York City. While there, he focused on the migration of Scholastic’s web infrastructure to the cloud and the implementation of supporting automation technologies.
